Biography
Lawrie Bolton, born in Kent in the UK, has been a professional musician and songwriter for over 20 years. In 1986 he joined rock band ‘Catch 22’ as keyboardist. Production and writing followed including original material for TV shows (including the Jonathan Ross Show, Hit Studio International and GMTV). In 1991 and 1992 he spent some time in the USA as musical director for a cruise line, and returned to the UK to produce dance tracks and remixes for ‘The Music Factory’ production house. In 1996 Lawrie started his own production company, providing radio adverts and jingles for national and local TV and radio. After writing songs for albums by artists including Atlantic Soul Machine and Max Laney he worked on several projects in London and LA with US chart producer Chris Landen and singer John Joseph. In 2004 Lawrie joined The AllStars Collective – a band made up of some of Europe’s top session musicians.
Currently Lawrie is based in London and divides his professional time between writing, recording, performing live and tutoring on the Commercial Music Degree at Canterbury Christ Church University, Kent.
